Novato, CA (October 2, 2000) - Daikin U.S. Comtec
Laboratories, the world leader in DVD Software tools, announced today that it has
certified NewWave Technologies' MultiDVD duplication system for use with their entire line
of Windows NT-based professional DVD mastering solutions. NewWave's MultiDVD system
provides Daikin customers with significant timesavings when creating multiple
DVD-R
masters from a single project.
NewWave's MultiDVD duplication system combines the Ultera MultiMaster patented array
controller technology with the latest DVD-R recorders from Pioneer New Media Technologies.
The MultiDVD system uses Ultera's controller to synchronize parallel write operations to
multiple drives. "By echoing the data to multiple DVD-R recorders, the MultiDVD
system can create up to twelve copies of a single project in the time it would normally
take to write just one," said NewWave's Vice President of Business Development, John
Jagelsky.
Because the MultiDVD system appears as a single DVD-R drive to the Daikin software, no
additional setup or modification is necessary for the Daikin system. "The customer no
longer has to tie up their production system for hours on end while they create multiple
DVD-R masters," said Daikin Technical Manager, Mark Johnson. "NewWave's MultiDVD
duplication system provides a cost-effective alternative that allows the customer to
streamline their DVD production environment saving both time and money."
NewWave's MultiDVD duplication system has undergone rigorous testing and has been proven
to be compatible with Daikin's entire line of Windows NT-based DVD mastering tools,
including ROM Formatter, ReelDVD and Scenarist NT, making it an ideal solution for both
corporate and entertainment industry customers. "We are proud to work with Daikin to
ensure that our MultiDVD system is compatible with their software tools, which are widely
recognized as the industry standard for professional DVD mastering," Jagelsky
commented.
