TB Hardware Based Virtual Tape Library Solutions
ADTX and Ultera
Systems Partner to Create One of the Best Values for High
Performance,
Reliable Virtual Tape Solutions Available Today
Irvine,
CA - July 22, 2004 - Advanced Technology and Systems Co., Ltd.
(ADTX), a leading provider of reliable and affordable high
performance RAID systems, today announced another application
for their SCSI interface based P Series SATA RAID systems. By
integrating Ultera Systems MirageVL Virtual Tape Controller,
users can now own an advanced hardware based Virtual Tape
Library (VTL) solution for significantly less than any
comparable VTL.
"We
are very excited to be working jointly with Ultera, both
companies’ reputations for manufacturing high performance
products that are cost effective while being very reliable, is
the foundation for a great VTL," according to Naresh
Chadha, President of US and European Operations for ADTX,
"our competitive price points, long standing reliability
and superior performance make ADTX’s products a natural
component in Ultera’s Virtual Tape solution."
"All
backups, restores and archives are managed by the existing
backup software so there is no new software to learn by the
customer and integration into existing or new environments is
simple," says Mo Nour, President of Ultera Systems.
"When integrated with the 2U 8 bay P-series SATA RAID
system from ADTX, the MirageVL provides a complete 2 TB VTL
for backup and restore with rates near 400 GB/hour."
