FOR DLT TAPE RAID SOLUTION
Second Award in Six Months
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., January 11, 2000.... Ultera Systems, the
leading tape array controller and tape array system supplier, announced today that it has
been awarded a Computer Technology Review "Resellers Choice" designation in the
December 1999 issue for its a new tape RAID solution for Exabytes 690D DLTtape
library. The award follows a Resellers Choice nod for Ulteras LibraryMaster
array in July 1999.
In the feature, titled "Ultera Tapes It Up With Exabyte," CTR states,
"The library array solution is the result of a collaboration between Exabyte and
Ultera engineers that empowers 690D customers to scale up to supercharge their backup
operations by upgrading to full tape RAID capability in a plug-and-play
installation." The result, says CTR, is "the first turnkey DLTtape RAID product
on the market."
