Systems Signs INLINE Corporation for the Government Market
Virginia-based Storage
Solution provider is now an Authorized Reseller of
Mirage Family of Virtual Tape Products
LAGUNA
HILLS, Calif., May 28, 2003 — Ultera Systems, the leading
provider of High Performance Tape Controllers for backup,
restore and archive, has announced that they have signed a
reseller agreement with INLINE Corporation of Dulles,
Virginia. The agreement authorizes INLINE Corporation to
resell Ultera’s complete line of array controllers for
removable devices including the new Mirage Virtual Tape
Controller and Solutions.

recently introduced Virtual Tape Solutions operate as a hard
drive based virtual tape library providing the following key
advantages: high performance backup and restore at up to
160MB/sec, instantaneous file access from Virtual Tape (disk
systems), and seamless integration (hardware and software)
with existing IT infrastructure. “Ultera’s Mirage
Virtual Tape Controller based solutions are a very powerful
addition to the vast lineup of storage solutions we offer.
Mirage VTC will enable us to provide to our customers
solutions that enhance backup speeds and increase reliability
and productivity without reconfiguring their systems or
retraining their personnel,” said John Tibbitts, CEO of
INLINE Corporation. “With over nine years in the
storage solution business we can see how the Mirage VTC based
Solutions will change how people look at backups - fast,
reliable, seamless to integrate, and relatively

an auto-archive operation that automatically moves data stored
in the virtual library to a physical library. All library
robotics are managed by the controller including exporting of
tapes from the library for off-site storage. Mirage fully
supports ALL industry tape drives and tape libraries, disk
RAID, and is totally application software transparent.
